With an international sound that transports you to far away places, Monica da Silva and Chad Alger will create the perfect ambiance for your next event. A Brazilian American vocalist, and guitarist, based in California’s wine country, they have been performing together since 2008, when they met in Chicago. Musicians all their lives, their music is inspired by Bossa Nova, Jazz, and many international influences - especially Brazilian Music, and the French Pop of the 60s.
Accompanied by Chad on guitar, Monica sings in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. She also plays the flute, and melodica. The duo perform their original compositions, and cover popular songs they've revamped in their style. Their sophisticated sound can either be at the forefront, or in the background, setting the perfect mood and atmosphere for your event.
Monica and Chad have toured the United States and Canada, performing at theaters, cocktail parties, wine tastings, lounges, nightclubs, house concerts, festivals, intimate gatherings, private parties, corporate events, and wedding receptions. They are also available to perform for virtual concerts, and online wine tastings.
